Integration allows funeral homes to offer families broader payment options
Fort Worth, Texas – June 05, 2019
Consolidated Funeral Services, Inc. (CFS), the nation’s largest provider of funeral websites, has partnered with First American Payment Systems to allow funeral homes greater flexibility when accepting online or on-premises payments from the families that they serve.
The partnership gives CFS clients an immediate advantage, with the ability to offer a fully integrated, PCI-compliant payment capability on their websites. Funeral homes can use their First American account to accept payments online and on-premises using credit and debit cards, ACH, and e-checks.
In addition, the partnership between CFS and First American gives software users access to unique payment capabilities; these include the ability to securely store customer card data for a recurring payment plan, and technology that automatically updates soon-to-expire card information, preventing the hassle and extra work created by payment declines. First American’s technology also provides a fully secure payment environment, with data-breach protection, fraud prevention, and other security protocols.
“Our goal at CFS is to provide funeral homes with leading technology that helps grow their business, save them time, and allow them to provide exceptional service to the families that they serve,” said CFS Co-founder Peter Richardson. “The addition of First American’s payment technology ticks all of those boxes and we are delighted to be offering this new capability to our clients.”
“A known innovator within the funeral services space, CFS is perpetually raising the bar for what an effective website within this vertical can do,” said Bill Lodes, First American’s EVP of Business Development & Strategy. “Payment acceptance is a critical part of that, along with delivering an integration experience that is second to none. These are priorities that both CFS and First American share; it is an honor to be entrusted with their payments business.”
