Fort Worth, Texas – September 13, 2019
In its annual list of Tarrant County’s Top 100 privately-held companies, First American once again earned top honors.
Maintaining its 2018 ranking, First American ranked #2 on this year’s list, with Ben E. Keith Company, Recaro Aircraft Seating, Gilchrist Automotive and Classic Chevrolet, Inc. rounding out the top five. Rankings are calculated based on annual revenue and total number of employees.
Established in 1990 as a merchant acquirer, First American has evolved to become one of the nation’s leading payment technology providers. Today, First American supports more than 182,000 merchants globally with comprehensive payment acceptance and processing services. First American’s payment technology drives more than 304 million transactions annually, representing over $29 billion in transaction volume.
“We are honored to be among the Top 100,” said Neil Randel, First American’s founder and CEO. “It is particularly meaningful now, in the context of what is happening in our industry from a market consolidation standpoint. Despite a shifting competitor landscape, we are keeping our focus squarely on how we can best serve our merchants, delivering the technology, service and customer care that is becoming difficult to find elsewhere. The customer loyalty that this creates has become one of our strongest growth contributors.”
